Preparing
- Prepare the text and make sure you draw a rectangle around it → this will help you during the positioning of the text
- Cut your design and remove all parts that are not needed around the text
- Secure the vynil sheet to the table
- Cut a piece of transfer tape that covers it entirely
- Place the transfer tape on top of the vynil sheet and secure it to the table by placing a piece of paper tape
- In case of long texts, place the paper tape vertically around the half of the length of the vynil
- Remove the back of the transfer tape of the first half and stick it to the vynil sheet below using a spatula → start from the middle and move to the edge
Trick: in order to avoid any air bubbles, do not pull the transfer tape but keep a soft grab
- Stick the second half and remove all paper tapes
- Cut along the rectangle to remove all residual parts
Trick: it’s better to cut a little inside of the rectangle, in order to avoid any residual parts of the frame
Placing
- Choose the right position to apply the text and make sure the surface is perfectly clean and free from any dust → use some paper tape to trace any reference points (eg. distance from the floor)
